Caregiver / Nursing Assistant

Location: Abeokuta, Ogun State

Report To: Care Home Manager

Job Purpose

We are seeking for a compassionate and dedicated caregiver/nursing assistant to support the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents, promoting independence, and ensuring they feel safe, respected, and valued in a warm and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality personal care including assisting with washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
Assist residents with meals and hydration, including feeding where necessary
Support residents with their daily routines, activities, and social engagement
Monitor and report changes in residents’ health, mood, or behavior to supervisor/manager
Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records and documentation
Promote dignity, privacy, autonomy, and independence in all aspects of care

Requirements

Qualifications in Health and Social Care
Basic First Aid, CPR and Manual Handling training
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a caregiver, care assistant, or similar role especially dementia or elderly care
A caring, empathetic, and patient nature
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Teamwork and flexibility
Willingness to complete mandatory training and care certifications
