Caregiver / Nursing Assistant

Location: Abeokuta, Ogun State
Report To: Care Home Manager

Job Purpose

We are seeking for a compassionate and dedicated caregiver/nursing assistant to support the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents, promoting independence, and ensuring they feel safe, respected, and valued in a warm and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality personal care including assisting with washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
  • Assist residents with meals and hydration, including feeding where necessary
  • Support residents with their daily routines, activities, and social engagement
  • Monitor and report changes in residents’ health, mood, or behavior to supervisor/manager
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records and documentation
  • Promote dignity, privacy, autonomy, and independence in all aspects of care

Requirements

  • Qualifications in Health and Social Care
  • Basic First Aid, CPR and Manual Handling training
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a caregiver, care assistant, or similar role especially dementia or elderly care
  • A caring, empathetic, and patient nature
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Teamwork and flexibility
  • Willingness to complete mandatory training and care certifications
