Location: Abeokuta, Ogun State
Report To: Care Home Manager / Administrator

Job Purpose


Provide safe, reliable, and courteous transportation for care home residents, staff, and supplies as required. The role supports the wellbeing of residents by enabling attendance at medical appointments, social outings, and other external engagements while ensuring their comfort and safety during travels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, social outings, and other destinations
  • Assist residents in and out of the vehicle, ensuring safety and dignity
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness, readiness and roadworthiness
  • Log journeys and report any incidents or maintenance needs
  • Support staff with errands or supply runs as required
  • Comply with all relevant health and safety, safeguarding, and company procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with residents and families

Requirements

  • Permanent Driving license
  • Minimum of 2 years’ driving experience, preferably working in the elderly or hospital settings
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to assist frail or disabled passengers professionally
  • Calm, compassionate, patient, and respectful approach
  • Work flexibility and basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
  • First Aid training or willingness to complete training
